چکیده
The Turing Award is recognized as the most influential and prestigious award in field of computer science (CS). With rise science, a large amount bibliographic data has been analyzed an attempt to understand hidden mechanism scientific evolution. These include analysis Nobel Prize, including physics, chemistry, medicine, etc. In this article, we extract analyze 72 laureates from complete data, fill gap lack analysis, discover development characteristics CS independent discipline. First, show have long-term high-quality educational backgrounds, more than 61% them degree mathematics, which indicates that mathematics played significant role CS. Secondly, shows not all scholars high productivity h-index; is, number publications h-index leading indicator for evaluating Award. Third, average age awardees increased 40 around 70 recent years. This may be because new breakthroughs take longer, some technologies need time prove their influence. Besides, also found past 10 years, international collaboration experienced explosive growth, showing paradigm form collaboration. It worth noting emergence female winners eye-catching. Finally, by analyzing personal publication records, find many people are likely publish high-impact articles during high-yield periods.

The pipeline processor is a common paradigm for very high speed computing machinery. Pipeline processors provide high speed because their separate stages can operate concurrently, much as different people on a manufacturing assembly line work concurrently on material passing down the line. Although the concurrency of pipeline processors makes their design a demanding task, they can be found in ...

Research on social processes in the production of scientific output suggests that the collective research agenda of a discipline is influenced by its structural features, such as "invisible colleges" or "groups of collaborators" as well as academic "stars" that are embedded in, or connect, these research groups. Based on an encompassing dataset that takes into account multiple publication types...

T study investigates the impact of information technology (IT) on productivity and collaboration patterns in academe. Our data combine information on the diffusion of two noteworthy innovations in IT—BITNET and the Domain Name System (DNS)—with career-history data on research-active life scientists. We analyzed a random sample of 3,114 research-active life scientists from 314 U.S. institutions ...
